Grob Inspo: Felipe Pantone

Grob Inspo: Felipe Pantone

While the moving structures used by the Argentinian-Spanish artist Felipe Pantone in his works touch an unusual point in the art world, they are parallel to the oval forms and bold forms that are at the center of Grob's design world. Take a closer look at Felipe Pantone's 70s-inspired new house, featured in Black Mirror, one of the most watched and influential TV series of recent times.

The third episode of Black Mirror season six opens with a scene that is unusual in the art world: the scene of the portrait painter complaining that his models are still not good enough. The person holding the pencil is David Ross (played by Josh Hartnett), an astronaut and father who enjoys drawing his children sitting on the couch. Behind him, a dark wood staircase leads to a futuristic white living room, like an architectural prelude to the future.

The house in question is a building from the 1970s, almost frozen in time. The house, located on a 7,000 square meter plot in the Spanish town of L'Eliana, has a huge catalog of designer pieces: Elio Martinelli, André Ricard, Tobia and Afra Scarpa, Miguel Milá, Cassina, Kartell and Missoni Home.

The exterior design of the house is completely covered with a wooden appearance. Although the house maintains its calm atmosphere, which makes you feel like you are in nature with the surrounding trees, with minimal touches inside the house, the interior design of the house from the 70s literally takes you on a time journey. The rooms of the house, where soft-edged structures are preferred, make it possible to have a look filled with few items.

The unconventional design of the bedroom best symbolizes the minimalism movement that emerged in the 70s. The spacious atmosphere of the entire room is supported by the specially designed armchair, standing lamp and coffee table accompanying the double bed. For those who want to see the same surreal look in their bedrooms, we recommend you to take a look at Grob's most special design, the Piano Armchair. Discover the Piano Armchair, which has a different and dynamic design as if it bears the traces of Felipe Pantone's kinetic art, at grob.store online and in the Showroom.

After not being able to find a studio he liked for four years, Felipe Pantone took a risk that would make him very happy and successful, and rented this legendary house. Supporting the color that explodes when the floors in the house are covered in red with warmer and red-compatible colors, Pantone got help from the orange and green tones of white and yellow in its kitchen. The lemon mold sofa in the kitchen immediately brings to mind the Pan Sofa, the newest of the Nob Collection. Standing out in every area with its structure that supports red tones, Pan Sofa stands out with its color and design.
